The International Window
Most club soccer is taking a couple of weeks off, but we don't (and neither does MLS or Liga MX!). The start of the international window brings Nations League matches, USMNT and El Tri friendlies, and an MLS road trip for the Fire. On top of that, we have Book Club and video gaming at the bar. Our hours are shifting a bit for this window, so read on for everything you need to know.

EAFC 27 Is On at Soccer House
We have two PlayStations and the new edition of EA Sports FC set up at the bar!
Open Play | Wednesday & Thursday | 4:00 PM to Close
We got early access, so come warm up your fingers, learn the new mechanics, and settle (or start) a few arguments before the weekend.
The Soccer House Challenge | Friday
The game officially launches Friday, and so does our challenge. The rules are simple. You play our resident "pro" in a standard match with random teams. He's started calling himself "House del Rey." If you beat him, he's paying for your Pretzel, Fries, or Ice Cream Nachos. It's free to play. Think you've got it? Prove it.
This is just the kickoff. Tournaments, leagues, and more FC 27 nights are coming to Soccer House, so stay tuned.
P.S. We know "House del Rey" doesn't make a lot of sense, but he keeps beating all of us, so we have to go with it.
Book Club
Thursday, September 24 | 7:00 PM
Next up is The Beckham Experiment: How the World's Most Famous Athlete Tried to Conquer America by Grant Wahl.
It's a great read, but don't take our word for it. Trust Franklin Foer, who wrote How Soccer Explains the World: "David Beckham is more than a gifted player. He is a multinational conglomerate. And, in Grant Wahl's extraordinary telling, his sojourn through Los Angeles makes for a gripping tale about the business of sports and the growth pangs of American soccer."
Read it, or come anyway. We'll catch you up.
This Week
As always, the full calendar is at soccerhouse.com/schedule.
Saturday
Saturday has four matches, and you can (and probably should) stay for all of them.
England vs. Spain | UEFA Nations League | 1:45 PM
This is a rematch of the Euro 2024 final, but now with two of the top three from the World Cup. This one will be shown on the Rooftop and in the Hall.
USA vs. Peru | International Friendly | 3:30 PM
This is another chance to see where Pochettino's side is headed. No reservations are possible as this one overlaps with England vs. Spain.
The Hall and Rooftop will show England vs. Spain in its entirety, then switch over to USA vs. Peru.
The Bar will show USA vs. Peru from the opening whistle.
Charlotte FC vs. Chicago Fire | MLS | 6:30 PM
MLS doesn't stop for the break, and neither does the Fire's push. Join us and the Red Line Supporters Group. This match is on at the Bar and no reservations are needed.
Mexico vs. Colombia | International Friendly | 8:00 PM
This one should be a proper test for El Tri, and it should be a great atmosphere to close out the night. This one will be shown on the Rooftop and in the Hall.
Sunday
Serbia vs. Netherlands | UEFA Nations League | 11:00 AM
This one kicks off an hour after doors open. Grab a coffee and settle in.
Norway vs. Portugal | UEFA Nations League | 1:45 PM
Germany vs. Greece | UEFA Nations League | 1:45 PM
Both of these kick off at the same time, and we'll have both on the screens.
Look Ahead
Tuesday
We're opening at 6:00 PM for the USMNT and El Tri. The international window comes with midweek matches, and we'll be open just for them.
Thursday
Movie Night | 7:00 PM
Brian Clough, Leeds United, and 44 days in 1974 that went about as badly as you've heard. It's based on the book by David Peace.
If there's a match you want to watch that isn't listed, please let us know at info@soccerhouse.com.
See you at Soccer House!
