A (NOT SO) BLANK SLATE
The old Twisted Spoke is beginning its next life as Soccer House and we’re in there getting everything ready for our first matchday in spring of 2026.
Where to Start
Clearing and fixing. Yes, all the motorcycles are gone. We’ve also started fixing up some parts, investing in some updated systems, and ensuring everything can survive a rowdy derby day. There will be some new paint, a few new floor tiles, different lights, and new restroom fixtures.
What We’re Not Doing
What matters most might be what we’re not doing. Like any good soccer club, this building has history and character, and we intend to respect that. This was a biker bar for 30 years, so we’re not about to dishonor its memory by turning it into a velvet-rope, bottle-service soccer lounge (even when Inter Miami is playing).
Our goal is simple: a real supporters’ clubhouse. We’re keeping as much of the original metal, wood, and brick as the building inspectors would allow. It will be comfortable enough to settle into for 90+ minutes and tough enough to survive a few spilled pints after a last-minute winner.
Outside, the beautifully weathered steel exterior is staying exactly as it is. The big sign and the motorcycle skeleton are not. We’ve got plans for the sign, and the skeleton is awaiting its next life on the median (sign the petition here: https://savethe.westtownskeleton.org). As for the roof deck: big plans are coming. We’ll share more once they’re ready.
What’s Next
We’ll keep working! We’ll share progress, ask for input, and keep the door open for ideas (figuratively for now, literally in a few months). We hope you’ll help shape the future of Soccer House. Subscribe to the weekly newsletter for updates, sneak peeks, and more. Let us know what you think! Soccer House is coming together, and it already feels like kickoff is getting close.
