One Month of Soccer House!

It’s our one month anniversary! The past month has been unreal and we’re so thankful for everyone who has come out to catch a match with us. The fun has just begun! This is a long one, because we’ve got tons of great matches to highlight, but read all the way to the finish, we’re starting a Historic Match Night Series in the lead up to the World Cup.

This Week

This part of the season is just loaded with great games, some obvious and some slightly more hidden gems. As always, the full calendar is at soccerhouse.com/schedule, but here are some highlights:

Tuesday

AFC Bournemouth vs. Manchester City | Premier League | 1:30 PM The Citizens must have all three points or the title race is over. Bournemouth won't roll over for anyone.

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur | Premier League | 2:15 PM On the other side of the table, Tottenham is safe from the drop with a win or a draw from one of the last two. Surely they’d like to do it before the last match of the season.

Thursday

Cruz Azul vs. Pumas UNAM | Liga MX Gran Final, First Leg | 9:00 PM Don’t miss round one of this two-legged “Clásico Capitalino” to determine the new champion of Mexican futbol.

Friday

Mexico vs. Ghana | International Friendly | 9:00 PM El Tri take the pitch in a final tune-up with the World Cup just around the corner.

Saturday

Hull City vs. Southampton | EFL Championship Playoff Final | 10:30 AM

This is the biggest game in the world. All respect to the many other major fixtures, but when it comes to pure, singular, club-altering stakes, nothing on earth comes close to the EFL Championship Playoff Final at Wembley. It’s all on the line for a place in the Premier League and with it, a financial windfall worth an estimated £200 million in revenue, broadcast rights, and commercial deals. One club's entire trajectory is changed in an afternoon at Wembley.

Barcelona vs. OL Lyonnes | Women's Champions League Final | 11:00 AM The best women's club football on the planet (or at least the other side of the Atlantic)!

Bayern München vs. Stuttgart | DFB Pokal | 1:00 PM Bayern won the Bundesliga and are the favorites but Stuttgart have the quality to shock them. Prost!

Flamengo vs. Palmeiras | Brasileirão | 7:00 PM A top of the table clash! Can’t beat that.

Sunday

Premier League Championship Sunday  | 10:00 AM

We’ll know the full stakes after tomorrow’s matches. Decisions on what will be showing where will come after those matches and with a look toward Sunday’s weather.

Pumas UNAM vs. Cruz Azul | Liga MX Gran Final, Second Leg | TBD Round two of the tie will crown a champion.

Relive the Beautiful Games: Historic Match Nights Are Here

With the 2026 tournament kicking off in just 24 days (!!) we're celebrating the greatest matches one legendary game at a time. Join us over the next three weeks for a series of classic match screenings with $5 drafts and $12 draft cocktails.

These are moments that defined the sport and we’ll have a fresh batch every week.

This Week’s Schedule:

Tuesday, May 19 @ 7 PM — 1994 Opening Match

The legend is true. The City of Chicago and U.S. Soccer arranged a deal where the first match of the 1994 World Cup would be hosted at Soldier Field and USSF would move to Chicago and occupy two South Loop buildings that would later become affectionately and unofficially referred to as ‘Soccer House.’ Naturally there is no better way to start our viewing series than with this one.

Wednesday, May 20 @ 7 PM — 1966 Final: England vs. West Germany

Was it over the line? Sixty years later, people are still arguing about it. Relive one of football's most controversial and thrilling finals.

Thursday, May 21 @ 7 PM — 2006 Final: Italy vs. France

An incredible match and one of the most shocking moments in sports history on the game’s biggest stage from one of the all time greatest players. Yeah, we’re talking about the headbutt.

Friday, May 22 @ 7 PM — 2018 Group Stage: Mexico vs. Germany — plus stick around for a Mexico vs. Ghana Friendly at 9 PM!

The celebrations of Mexico's stunning upset of defending champion Germany were so intense they registered on earthquake detectors in Mexico City. Feel that joy, then stick around immediately after for the current Mexico side’s tuneup friendly vs. Ghana live from Puebla.

Sunday, May 24 @ 7 PM — 2014 Semi-Final: Germany vs. Brazil

This was in the moment and remains to this day the most jaw-dropping result in World Cup history (though 1950 USA vs England would beg to differ). If you've never watched it, prepare yourself. If you have, you know exactly why we're screening it again.
